What we stock

Sanitaryware categories we stock

Everything that goes into a bathroom's fixed fittings — with the practical detail that actually decides which one suits your space.

  • Wash Basins

Counter-top, under-counter, wall-hung and pedestal basins in ceramic and vitreous china.

Choose the mounting style before the plumbing is set: a counter-top basin needs a taller mixer, while a wall-hung basin frees the floor and suits small bathrooms. Check the tap-hole configuration matches the mixer you intend to use.

    • Counter-top
    • Under-counter
    • Wall-hung
    • Pedestal

    Typically ₹2,500 – ₹18,000

  • Floor-Mounted WC

Standard European water closets with a coupled cistern — the most common choice in Indian homes.

Measure the rough-in (finished wall to drain centre, usually 300 mm or 400 mm) and confirm whether your drain is S-trap through the floor or P-trap through the wall. The two are not interchangeable.

    • S-trap
    • P-trap
    • Coupled cistern

    Typically ₹4,000 – ₹12,000

  • One-Piece WC

Bowl and cistern cast as a single seamless unit, with no joint to trap grime.

Easier to clean and visually sleeker than a two-piece, at a higher cost and a heavier install. A good middle option where a wall-hung WC is not practical because the wall is already built.

    • Seamless
    • Easy clean

    Typically ₹12,000 – ₹35,000

  • Wall-Hung WC

Bowl mounted on a concealed frame, with the cistern hidden inside the wall.

The cleanest look and the easiest floor to mop, but the concealed frame and cistern must be fixed before the wall is built and tiled. This is the single decision most often left too late in a bathroom project.

    • Concealed cistern
    • Decide pre-masonry

    Typically ₹22,000 – ₹60,000

  • Indian / Squatting Pan

Traditional squatting pans in standard and elongated sizes.

Still specified for service bathrooms, older properties and many rental units. Available in vitreous china with the same glaze quality as the rest of the range.

    • Service bathrooms

    Typically ₹900 – ₹3,500

  • Urinals

Wall-mounted urinals with manual or sensor flush, for commercial and larger residential use.

Sensor models reduce water use and touch points, which matters in hotels, offices and showrooms. Confirm the water supply point and waste position before the wall is finished.

    • Sensor
    • Manual flush

    Typically ₹3,500 – ₹18,000

  • Cisterns & Flush Plates

Concealed cisterns, exposed cisterns and the flush plates that finish them.

Choose a concealed cistern whose cartridge is serviceable from the front through the flush plate — otherwise a future repair means breaking tiles. Dual-flush is standard and worth having.

    • Dual flush
    • Front-serviceable

    Typically ₹4,000 – ₹22,000

  • Bathroom Accessories

Towel rails, robe hooks, soap dishes, paper holders, mirrors and shelves.

Buy accessories in the same finish family as your fittings and at the same time — matching a chrome or matte-black finish years later across brands is difficult.

    • Chrome
    • Matte finishes

    Typically ₹400 – ₹6,000

  • Kitchen Sinks

Quartz sinks from Carysil and stainless-steel sinks from Nirali NG, in single-bowl, double-bowl and drainboard layouts.

Measure the cabinet width before choosing a bowl size, and decide between top-mount and under-mount before the counter is cut. Quartz resists scratches and comes in colours; 304-grade stainless steel is the practical, forgiving everyday choice.

    • Quartz
    • Stainless steel
    • Carysil
    • Nirali NG

Understanding the category

What to know before you choose

What is sanitaryware?

Sanitaryware refers to the fixed ceramic fixtures in a bathroom — wash basins, water closets, cisterns and urinals — usually made from vitreous china, a clay body fired at high temperature and finished with a fused glaze.

That glaze is what matters in use: it is non-porous, so it resists staining and bacteria, and it is what you are paying for when one basin costs three times another that looks similar.

Wall-hung or floor-mounted WC?

A floor-mounted WC sits on the floor with a coupled cistern behind it. It is the most economical, the easiest to replace, and it can be fitted at any stage of a project.

A wall-hung WC mounts on a concealed steel frame with the cistern inside the wall. The floor beneath is clear, so cleaning is far easier, and the room looks visually lighter. The catch is timing — the frame must be fixed before the wall is built and tiled, so this has to be decided early.

How to measure for a new WC

Two measurements decide whether a WC will fit. The rough-in is the distance from the finished wall to the centre of the floor drain — commonly 300 mm or 400 mm in India.

The second is the trap type: an S-trap discharges downward through the floor, a P-trap horizontally through the wall. They are not interchangeable, and getting this wrong is the most common reason a new WC has to be returned.

Choosing a wash basin for your space

In a small bathroom, a wall-hung basin occupies no floor area and keeps the room feeling open. A counter-top basin gives you storage beneath and a place to put things down, but needs a taller mixer to clear the rim.

Whichever you choose, fix the mounting height and waste position before tiling. Retrofitting a basin to plumbing set for a different type means breaking finished tile.

Hard water and glaze care

Groundwater across much of Udaipur is hard, which leaves calcium deposits on glazed surfaces. These are cosmetic at first, but if cleaned with acidic or abrasive products the glaze itself dulls permanently.

Use a mild non-acidic bathroom cleaner and wipe surfaces dry where you can. A well-glazed piece cleaned properly still looks new after a decade; the same piece scoured with acid does not.

Matching the set

Buy the WC, basin and cistern together where possible. Ceramic white is not one colour — different manufacturers, and even different production batches, vary subtly, and the difference is obvious when two pieces sit side by side.

The same applies to the fittings: choose your CP fittings in the same visit so the finishes genuinely match.

Buying advice

Choosing sanitaryware

What actually matters when you are choosing — the questions worth settling before you buy.

What is the standard WC rough-in distance?

The rough-in is the distance from the finished wall to the centre of the drain outlet, commonly around 300 mm or 400 mm in India. Measure this before buying — a WC bought for the wrong rough-in will not sit correctly over the existing drain.

S-trap or P-trap — which do I need?

An S-trap discharges downward through the floor and is the norm in most Indian homes. A P-trap discharges horizontally through the wall. Check which your existing plumbing uses before selecting a WC, as the two are not interchangeable.

Is a wall-hung WC worth it?

It makes floor cleaning much easier and looks considerably lighter in a small bathroom. The catch is timing: the concealed frame and cistern must be fixed before the wall is built and tiled. Decide early or not at all.

Buying in Udaipur

Udaipur’s groundwater is hard in many areas, which shows up on glazed surfaces as calcium deposits. That makes glaze quality and gentle, non-acidic cleaning more consequential here than in soft-water cities — and it is worth asking about when comparing two pieces that look identical on the shelf.

FAQs

Common questions

What customers ask most often about sanitaryware in udaipur — sizing, fitting, warranty and what to decide first.

Do you sell kitchen sinks in Udaipur?

Yes. Jain Ceramic Mart at B-Block, 291, Main Road, Sector-14, Hiran Magri, Gordhan Vilas Rural, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001 stocks Carysil quartz and stainless-steel kitchen sinks and Nirali NG stainless-steel kitchen sinks, in single-bowl, double-bowl and drainboard layouts, along with kitchen sink taps.

Where can I buy sanitaryware in Udaipur?

Jain Ceramic Mart at B-Block, 291, Main Road, Sector-14, Hiran Magri, Gordhan Vilas Rural, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001 stocks sanitaryware from Jaquar, Essco and CERA, including wash basins, floor-mounted and wall-hung water closets and one-piece EWCs. The showroom is on 100 Feet Road in Hiran Magri, Sector 14.

What is the difference between a one-piece and a two-piece WC?

A two-piece WC has a separate bowl and cistern bolted together, while a one-piece WC is cast as a single unit. One-piece models are easier to clean because there is no joint to trap grime, and generally look sleeker, but they cost more and are heavier to install.

How do I measure for a new water closet?

Measure the rough-in — the distance from the finished wall to the centre of the floor drain outlet — which is commonly 300 mm or 400 mm in India. Also confirm whether your plumbing uses an S-trap discharging through the floor or a P-trap discharging through the wall, since the two are not interchangeable.

Which basin suits a small bathroom?

A wall-hung basin is usually the best choice for a small bathroom because it occupies no floor area and keeps the space visually open. A corner basin is another option where the layout is very tight. Both need the waste and supply points positioned before tiling.

Do you stock Jaquar and CERA sanitaryware in Udaipur?

Yes. Jain Ceramic Mart is an authorised dealer for Jaquar and Essco by Jaquar, and stocks CERA sanitaryware. Authorised dealership means Jaquar and Essco products carry genuine manufacturer warranty and are supported by the official service network.
