What we stock

The Trubuild range, by where the water gets in

Ask at the counter for current stock and pack sizes — we match the system to your surface, whether it is a new slab, an old terrace or a damp wall.

  • Roof & Terrace Waterproofing

Systems for new roofs, and coatings to rehabilitate old, cracked terraces and balconies.

A new roof is best waterproofed before the screed and finish go down; an old terrace is usually repaired and top-coated rather than broken out. Either way, most failures are adhesion failures — clean the surface, open and fill cracks, and never skip the primer.

    • Aqualock
    • TRU PU
    • Rooftect
  • Bathrooms, Kitchens & Wet Areas

Waterproofing for sunken bathroom slabs, kitchens, balconies and other wet areas.

Most bathroom leaks start at the floor-to-wall joint and around pipes passing through the slab. Treat both, take the coat at least 150 mm up the walls and higher inside the shower, then flood-test for 24–48 hours before a single tile is laid.

    • Buildcrete
    • Aqualock
    • Flood test first
  • Basements, Sumps & Water Tanks

Substructure waterproofing for basements and underground sumps, and systems for concrete water tanks.

Below-ground walls hold back water pressure from outside, so the system must suit the side it is applied from. For a drinking-water tank, confirm the specific product is approved for potable-water contact before it goes on.

    • TRU PU
    • Aqualock Flexi
    • TCSR 555
  • Exterior Wall Protection

The Trubuild Walltect system — primer, basecoat and topcoat — for damp, weather-beaten external walls.

Damp patches on the inside of an external wall usually mean water is entering through hairline cracks in the plaster. Filling the cracks and applying a primed coating system protects the wall far longer than repainting alone.

    • Walltect
    • Primesure
  • Repair, Bonding & Sealants

SBR latex bonding and repair agents, and flexible sealants for movement joints.

SBR latex improves the bond between old and new concrete or plaster and makes repair mortars more water-resistant. Expansion and movement joints need a flexible sealant rather than rigid cement, or they simply crack again.

    • SBR-333
    • SBR PRO-334
    • Sealmaster Flexi
  • Tile Adhesives & Grouts

Trufix cement-based tile adhesives, Stylo cementitious and epoxy grouts, and a PU-modified hybrid epoxy.

Choose the adhesive grade by tile size, location and substrate — a large tile on an external wall needs a far higher grade than a small tile indoors. Epoxy grout is worth the extra in showers and kitchens, because it does not absorb water or stain.

    • Trufix
    • Stylo 3K epoxy
    • Stylo Cem

Understanding the category

Getting waterproofing right the first time

Why terraces in Udaipur crack and leak

A roof slab heats up through a Rajasthan summer day and cools at night. Month after month of that movement opens hairline cracks, and the first heavy monsoon rain finds every one of them.

That is why an old terrace is repaired before it is coated, and why a flexible or elastomeric system outlasts a rigid one on an exposed roof. Trubuild describes its Rooftect coatings as heat-reflective, which also keeps the room below cooler.

Bathrooms: waterproof the slab, not the tiles

Tiles and grout are not waterproof. The protection sits on the sunken slab underneath, and the two places it most often fails are the floor-to-wall joint and the pipes passing through the slab.

Cove every junction, seal every pipe penetration, carry the coat at least 150 mm up the walls and higher inside the shower, then flood-test for 24–48 hours before any tiling begins.

Old roof: repair first, then coat

A coating is only as good as what it sticks to. Scrape off loose plaster and failed paint, clean away dust and algae, open up and fill the cracks, and let everything dry.

Prime the surface, then apply the coating in the number of coats the manufacturer specifies — thin coats, fully cured, rather than one heavy one.

Basements, sumps and water tanks

Below ground, water pushes against the structure from outside. Whether the system goes on the outer face during construction or the inner face afterwards changes which product is right.

Plan basement and sump waterproofing before backfilling, when the outside wall is still reachable. For drinking-water tanks, confirm the product is approved for potable-water contact.

Damp exterior walls

Damp patches and peeling paint on the inside of an external wall usually mean rain is getting in through hairline cracks in the plaster outside.

Repainting alone will not stop it. Fill the cracks, prime, and apply a wall-protection system such as Trubuild Walltect, which is built as a basecoat and topcoat.

Adhesive and grout finish the job

Once the waterproofing has passed its flood test, lay tiles on a cement-based adhesive of the right grade for the tile size and location, not on a thick mortar bed that can trap water.

In showers and kitchens, an epoxy grout does not absorb water or stain, so the joints stay sealed and clean for years.

Buying advice

Quick answers

What actually matters when you are choosing — the questions worth settling before you buy.

When is the best time to waterproof a roof?

During construction, before the screed and finish go down. For an existing roof, in the dry pre-monsoon months — roughly April and May in Udaipur — so the surface is dry and the coating cures before the rains arrive in late June.

How do I know bathroom waterproofing has worked?

Flood-test it. Block the drain, fill the sunken area with water, mark the level and leave it for 24–48 hours. If the level holds and the ceiling below stays dry, it is safe to tile.

Do old terrace tiles have to be removed?

Not always. Sound, well-bonded tiles can sometimes be cleaned, primed and coated, but loose or hollow-sounding tiles must come up first. Bring photographs of the terrace and we will suggest the right Trubuild system for it.

Buying in Udaipur

Udaipur has hot, dry summers and a monsoon concentrated between late June and September, so most leaks announce themselves in the first heavy rains — on terraces that expanded and cracked through May and June. Waterproofing done in the dry weeks before the monsoon cures properly and is ready when the water comes.

FAQs

Common questions

What customers ask most often about waterproofing solutions in udaipur — sizing, fitting, warranty and what to decide first.

Where can I buy Astral Trubuild waterproofing in Udaipur?

Jain Stone & Marble, at B-Block, 291, Main Road, Sector-14, Hiran Magri, Gordhan Vilas Rural, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001, is a distributor of Astral Trubuild in Udaipur, supplying its roof and terrace, bathroom and wet-area, basement, water-tank and exterior-wall waterproofing systems, along with Trufix tile adhesives and Stylo grouts. Call or WhatsApp to check current stock.

Which waterproofing is best for a terrace in Udaipur?

It depends on whether the roof is new or old. A new roof is usually waterproofed before the screed with a membrane or PU system such as Trubuild Aqualock or TRU PU. An existing terrace is repaired and then coated, for example with a coating from the Trubuild Rooftect range, which Trubuild describes as heat-reflective. Whether the terrace is tiled and whether people walk on it also changes the choice.

How long should a bathroom waterproofing flood test run?

Between 24 and 48 hours. Block the floor drain, fill the sunken bathroom slab with water, mark the level, and check both the level and the ceiling below the next day. Tiling should start only after the test passes.

Is Astral Trubuild part of Astral Pipes?

Trubuild is part of the Astral group, which also makes Astral pipes and Astral adhesives. In Udaipur, Jain Ceramic Mart is an authorised Astral Pipes dealer and Jain Stone & Marble is a distributor of Astral Trubuild, both at the same address in Hiran Magri, Sector 14.

Do you supply waterproofing materials to contractors?

Yes. Jain Stone & Marble supplies Astral Trubuild waterproofing, tile adhesives and grouts in project quantities to builders, contractors and applicators across Udaipur, and quotes on bulk requirements.
